December Lights, Trees & Birthdays

A glance at the first week of December!

Temple Square
Nick's family usually goes down to Salt Lake the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but this year a Jazz game kept us from finding parking, so we went Friday instead. It was the best year so far because the weather was so warm!

I wish this could be our Christmas card, but Brielle isn't looking!

she made up this pose herself!

now she looks at the camera!

what cute girls I have!

the last picture before our battery died.....
Nick's Birthday
This birthday bash was low-key compared to last year, but I did surprise him by giving him Christmas lights for our house which he had debated buying for the last two weeks. Even Emma talked him out of buying them, since she was in on the surprise! Now, our house is "beautiful" according to the girls.
a homemade card from Emma

tools and money.....it is so hard to shop for boys!

blowing out the last two candles we had!

Happy Birthday Nick! You are an awesome husband and dad!
Arranging the Tree
An artificial tree is so much easier!
Emma mostly put ornaments on the bottom except for this one!

Brielle had no interest in the tree--she liked the nativity set.

no, it's not Christmas morning! Just a random morning by the tree.

they love to be in matching pajamas
Christmas Village
Last night was the only night in the next two weeks that we could go enjoy Christmas Village. We went during the day last year with Emma's preschool, but it was a lot of fun to go at night. I haven't been since I was a child and we made a stop at Santa's house!
the girls were so excited to peek in all of the windows!

of coarse Emma had to stand on the top step!

Santa!!!!
Brielle would not let us hold her candy cane from Santa!!

Christmas Village is a "must" for next year. The girls loved it!

Cute pictures. If you want to use the one for your Christmas Cards, I might be able to photoshop Brielle's head so she's looking. E-mail your pictures, the one you want, and one with her looking at the camera. I won't make any promises, but I'll see what I can do. :) It's worth a try right?
