Christmas Traditions

Some of the girls' favorite Christmas traditions are decorating the Christmas tree and making gingerbread houses (or trains)!

Antelope Island

Over Thanksgiving weekend, I decided to take the girls to Antelope Island.  They had never been there before and even though it was a little chilly, we got to explore the beach and see some buffalo and deer!

Bear Lake

This year we rented a house for a few nights in Bear Lake with our friends, the Oliver family & Coombs family.  We had a blast at the lake riding wave runners, paddling kayaks & paddle boards, building sand castles, eating, and relaxing!  We also went to explore the Paris ice caves and found a nature center that had a ton of hummingbirds!  It was a perfect way to end the summer!

Ogden Temple Open House

Since we live in the Ogden Temple district, Nick & I were able to help with the temple open house as an usher (me) and security guard (Nick).  Of course, we also took the girls through the open house which was so peaceful and gorgeous!

Flower Girls

My girls were flower girls for Blake & Sarah's wedding.  They had the cutest matching dresses and they felt pretty special to be included.  Aren't they beautiful?

Chicago Day 6: (Willis Tower, Field Museum, Navy Pier)

Our 5th day in Chicago was Blake & Sarah's wedding! It was beautiful, fun, and had a "candy bar" that my kids really enjoyed during the reception.  On our last day in Chicago, we visited the Willis Tower and stood on a clear ledge where we could see the ground below! Yikes!  My legs were trembling!  Next, we went to the Field Museum which reminded me a lot of the museum from Night at the Museum.  It was huge and very fun to look through.  We ended the day at Navy Pier which is a like an outdoor mall with carnival rides.  By this time, we were exhausted from our week, so we were content to eat pizza and people watch.
